The Hague to Host Afghanistan Conference on 31 March

The international conference about the future of Afghanistan, which the Netherlands has been asked to host, will take place on 31 March at the World Forum Convention Centre in The Hague, Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen announced yesterday.

Verhagen will host the one-day event on behalf of the Netherlands. "The conference will be chaired by the United Nations. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is expected to come to The Hague.

Afghanistan and the Netherlands will join the UN in leading the programme for the day," Verhagen stated (...)
