POLAND: Secret cosmetic surgery for Muslim women

With Belgium being the latest European country to ban the wearing of the burka in public and the Arab spring uprising and demonstrations, Muslim women are increasingly sensitive about what they do and are seen to do.
In several cultures such as North Africa, women have traditionally used tattoos between their eyes, on their hands or beneath their lips as a sign of beauty, until just a few years ago only artists and singers had cosmetic surgery, but now the rapid development in several Islamic societies has led to a demand for cosmetic surgery from ordinary women wanting to look good.
Cosmetic surgery includes procedures such as breast enhancement or reduction, face-lift, upper and lower eyelid surgery, chemical peels, nose reshaping (rhinoplasty), liposuction and tummy tucks.
