Chechnya's Muslim president misunderstands Islam, endorses honor killing

How dreadfully inconvenient for the mainstream media spokesmen and Islamic supremacists who in the wake of our Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference on Honor Killing are busy claiming that honor killing has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam. Until Muslims and non-Muslims face up to the fact that it does, more young women will die -- which apparently is fine with those who are speaking out against our Conference. ACHXOY-MARTAN, Chechnya — Chechnya's government is openly approving of families that kill female relatives who violate their sense of honor, as this Russian republic embraces a fundamentalist interpretation of Islam after decades of religious suppression under Soviet rule.

In the past five years, the bodies of dozens of young Chechen women have been found dumped in woods, abandoned in alleys and left along roads in the capital, Grozny, and neighboring villages. (...)
