Introduction by Paul Schnee, President, ZOA, Los Angeles to Pamela Geller’s speech: "Islamic Jew-Hatred, The Root Cause Of The Failure To Achieve Peace”:

Once, when Mark Twain was trying to describe Richard Wagner’s music to a friend he said it was better than it sounds. Alas, the same cannot be said for all of the anti-Semitic and anti-Israel diatribes which belch forth so consistently from Iran, her surrogates and from practically every Arab country in the Middle East. That these declarations of unambiguous hatred are an obstacle to peace should be obvious even to the slowest of minds.

We are privileged to have with us today Pamela Geller whose talk: " Islamic Jew-Hatred, The Root Cause Of the Failure To Achieve Peace”, will explain not only the genesis of this hatred but also its catastrophic consequences for all mankind if left unchecked.

Of James Madison it was said, never has there been such a high ratio of mind to mass. Of Pamela Geller it can be said that seldom has there been such a high ratio of courage to mass. Ms. Geller is an author, an activist and one of the leading opponents to the construction of the Mosque at Ground Zero. As such she has been subjected to much criticism, some disgusting abuse and the usual death threats from devotees of the "religion of peace.”

Yet Ms. Geller remains undeterred for she continues to speak the truth not so much for the sake of convincing those who do not believe it but more for the sake of defending those who do. She has become a sovereign figure among those who ring the alarm bell about the Islamization of America and the West for it is this disturbing phenomenon which is the defining issue of our time and one which will lead to our ultimate humiliation and defeat if it is not stopped dead in its tracks. Ms. Geller has been in the fore-front of the vanguard warning about the sick relativism which permits Western liberals to regard "honor” killings and genital mutilation as expressions of cultural diversity.

For the last 7 years Ms. Geller has been the publisher of the popular internet web site, Atlas Shrugs. The number 7 is significant for two reasons: it is a very long time to maintain a successful website and it exceeds by 4 the number of working toilets in Afghanistan.
