Jewish youth attacked on French train

PARIS -- The French Interior Ministry says a 17-year-old student who attends a Jewish school targeted in a recent shooting rampage was attacked on a train. The ministry says in a statement Thursday that two people beat the boy on a train traveling between Toulouse and Lyon, and a passenger and railway employees intervened to stop them.

The ministry said the boy was wearing a visible sign of his religious affiliation and called it an "anti-Semitic attack." (...)
