Jihad in Thailand: Muslim terrorists detonate car bomb in front of school, 5 police dead
Thai-language local news outlets are carrying additional details and photos of a car bomb explosion a few hours ago that killed 5 police officers of the Teacher Protection Unit and left one other officer critically injured in Yala, Thailand. Five policemen were killed and another was critically wounded on Wednesday in a roadside bomb attack in Thailand's south, police said.
Presumed Muslim terrorists parked the car bomb at a bridge near a school and detonated it as the Teacher Protection Unit drove by. Nail strips were placed on the road to hinder further responding police, and there was an exchange of gunfire after the attack.
The explosion blew the police truck off the bridge. At this time it is unknown how many of the police were killed outright in the blast and how many (if any) were killed by subsequent gunfire. Two photos attached: One of the police truck at the bottom of the bridge and the other of the remains of the car bomb vehicle. Thai-language link below has additional photos. (thanks to Chai)
