UPDATE to Muslim reaction to scholarly criticism of Islam in the UK – Breaking News

Tom Holland, the presenter of "Islam, the Untold Story”, has been threatened online and inundated with abusive Twitter messages as a result of daring to ask pertinent questions about the origins of Islam.

As a result of these, Channel 4 has cancelled a planned private screening of the programme at its London headquarters on 13 September, and has made the following statement:

Having taken security advice, we have reluctantly cancelled a planned screening of the programme Islam: The Untold Story. We remain extremely proud of the film which is still available to view on 4oD.

The documentary is due to be repeated late on Thursday night and can be viewed online. (...)
