Video: Op-Ed: Islamic protests over film spread to Europe
Islamic protests in reaction to the film "Innocence of Muslims" have been spreading across European cities. Over 150 people were detained at an unauthorised protest in Paris on Saturday.
Other European cities to experience violent protests include London, Antwerp, Copenhagen and Berlin.
The London demonstration was organized by Hizb ut-Tahrir, which campaigns for the introduction of Sharia law in Britain. The controversial British Muslim Anjem Choudary, who is barred from entering France, told RT:
"The Muslims are rising not only in the East but also in the West. We want Islam and we want the Sharia. People hate the Americans, and they hate their allies – and I think this is a very good turning point for the Muslims.”
Islamists protesting over insults against Propehet Mohammed hold placards declaring "America Get Out of Muslim Lands."
If Europeans held placards directing Muslims to get out of Europe they would be branded racist, as they are if they object to the growing influx of illegal immigrants from Islamic countries.
