Hamas and Al Qaeda’s Racist Exploitation of African Migrants

First, Egyptian Islamists, possibly linked to Al Qaeda, carried out an attack on Israeli soldiers while they were handing out water to illegal African migrants. On Friday, it was reported that 20-year-old IDF Corporal Natanel Yahalomi was shot and killed by terrorists in the Sinai peninsula after he and other soldiers had left a fortified position to give water to a group of migrants on the Egypt-Israel border.

There are now calls to begin treating such actions as a terror risk and that will make life worse for African migrants who are already being kidnapped and held for ransom by Islamist Bedouins in the Sinai, where they are raped, tortured and carved up for organs. (Warning: Graphic)

Desperate refugees from Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea put their trust in smugglers to get them across the border into Israel, but instead they are sold to the Bedouins and taken to torture camps.

A CNN documentary, A Stand in the Sinai, part of the network’s Freedom Project revealed if their relatives do not pay a ransom release fee, the women are frequently raped while the men are tortured – sometimes the abuse is played over the phone to their distraught relatives. (continue reading...)
