Russia will tighten its visa regime for Muslims

Russia will tighten its visa regime for Muslims and will review visas already given to Muslims irrespective of their nationalities, reported Dispatch News Desk (DND) from Moscow.

The decision was taken on February 8 at a special meeting of Russian security departments where Russian President Vladimir Putin has strongly criticized the work of the Russian Interior Ministry. According to Russian media, Putin was reviewing work of the ministry in connection with reforms that were initiated by the department, at the time former President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, who is now Prime Minister of the country.
