I read Marked for Death: Islam’s War Against the West and Me during the hot Pentecost weekend of 26 and 27th May. When I started the book I was prepared to be disappointed because it’s not often that a book launched with such hype manages to reach the standards expected. But from the first pages of Mark Steyn’s excellent foreword to the last page of the book I found it as nearly as non-put-downable as any bestselling thriller.

A number of books published in recent years have demolished the myth of an allegedly tolerant Islamic culture that preserved the Greco-Roman heritage. Ibn Warraq’s book Why the West Is Best is among the better and more accessible titles in this field. As I concluded in one of my earlier essays, the only part of the ancient Greek heritage that proved to be more compatible with Muslim than with Christian European culture was slavery, and possibly anal sex with young boys in certain parts of the Islamic world.

The courageous Dutch politician Geert Wilders released his book Marked for Death: Islam’s War Against the West and Me in May 2012. The foreword to this title was written by the eloquent Canadian-born political commentator and cultural critic Mark Steyn, who has a special talent for writing about serious topics in a humorous way. He has published several books and written essays for publications ranging from the Jerusalem Post and the Chicago Sun-Times to the National Review, The Australian and Canada’s National Post.

The video below was recorded today at the European Parliament in Brussels by Henrik Rader Clausen. It features the "King of Euro-Skepticism”, MEP Nigel Farage, the leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) and the co-president of the "Europe of Freedom and Democracy” (EFD) Group in the EP. The occasion was the presentation of the book Europa Wankelt: De ontvoering van Europa door de EU (Europe Falters: The Abduction of Europe by the EU) by Wim van Rooy, Remi Hauman and Sam van Rooy.

I had the great honor and pleasure of interviewing Dutch Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders yesterday.
Wilders is in the United States to mark the long-awaited publication of his book, Marked for Death: Islam's War on the West and Me, with a packed round of radio, TV and print interviews. So far, these include an in-depth interview with Glenn Beck on GBTV, and also an appearance on Fox News' Sean Hannity show.
For the heartburn alone that Wilders' appearance with Hannity undoubtedly caused the Saudi Dictatorship Family, a scion of whom infamously owns the second largest stake in Fox's parent company News Corp, the Hannity spot was was worth it.

I am happy to be in New York again, even though in my country today it is Queen's day, a national celebration.
This is why I am wearing my orange tie.
Thank you, Nina, for organizing this event and giving me the opportunity to address all of you. It is always good to be among friends. It is an honor to be here in the presence of so many people who care for the preservation of freedom in our civilization.
It is great to be in America, the beacon of liberty, the land of the free, the land where people are still allowed to speak freely. I know what I am talking about. I was acquitted after a legal ordeal that lasted almost 3 years. I had been brought to court for criticizing Islam.

A review-essay on Marked for Death: Islam’s War Against the West and Me , by Geert Wilders, Regnery Publishing, May1, 2012, 256 pp. As I told the Editor of The American Thinker, Tom Lifson:
"Although lengthy, this review-essay will provide readers with a definitive understanding of one of the West’s most important political leaders, whose grasp of the civilizational jihadist threat, and willingness to combat it, are unequalled.”

Ali Sina is one of the best known American Islam critics and ex-Muslims. He is a board member of Stop Islamization of Nations (SION) an organization founded by Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller. Sina has enabled thousands of Muslims to renounce Islam. Now he wants to make a film about the life of the alleged prophet Muhammad. Citizen Times Editor in Chief Felix Strüning spoke to him about Muhammad biographies and the dangers of such a film project.

Dr. Salim Mansur's new book Delectable Lie: A Liberal Repudiation of Multiculturalism has been positively reviewed and endorsed by a handful of mainly conservative reviewers and distinguished intellectuals.
In my opinion, the book has been underestimated. It is a real gem. And, despite a recent spate of other important books on this subject, including Ibn Warraq's Why the West Is Best, Mansur's work is unique. Mansur gives us very valuable information about the history of multiculturalism in Canada, which is important because Canada — where Mansur lives, writes, and teaches — may well be the very first Western democracy to have legally enshrined this policy. We learn, up close, what that policy has done.
The signature of ACTA by European countries does not mean the deal is done, needs to be ratified by the European Parliament.
They will vote on june 2012 to either ratify or reject ACTA. Please read more how to act and call your MPs, tell them tovote against ratification. This would disarm ACTA in Europe.
