By: Paul Marshall and Nina Shea
Publisher: Oxford University Press, 480 pp.
ISBN: 0199812284
"Apostasy is, in principle, subject to sharia hudud rules, which means that the punishment---death---is believed to be fixed by divine order and not subject to judicial discretion...,” write Paul Marshall and Nina Shea in chapter two of Silenced: How Apostasy and Blasphemy Laws are Choking Freedom Worldwide (p. 23), without further explanation.
Veracity, Mendacity – and Islam
FrontPage Magazine 31 October 2011
By Bruce Bawer

The recent arrival in my mail of a book entitled Islam: Critical Essays about a Political Religion has prompted a number of thoughts. Edited by Sam and Wim van Rooy and published late last year, it is a massive compendium, just under 800 pages long. It is in Dutch. (The title is actually De Islam: Kritische Essays over een Politieke Religie.) And it is richly comprehensive, with thirty-four essays on such subjects as the Islamization of Europe, Islam in India, the term "Islamophobia,” jihad in Africa, dhimmitude, apostasy, the myth of Andalusia, taqiyya, Islam and the West, sharia law, Islam’s "fellow travelers,” Jews under Islam, Christians under Islam, Islam and women, Islam and slavery, Islam and fascism, and Islam vs. democracy.

Prophet of Doom Chapter 12: Delusions of Grandeur

Also available as PDF and MP3 Audio.

Allah’s House was tainted with the lingering effects of the Satanic Verses so Muhammad needed a new Qiblah - a new direction to go and a new object to exploit. He needed to replace the Ka'aba with a more credible shrine. So the wannabe prophet conjured up one of the most preposterous lies ever uttered in the name of religion. He said that he was flown on a winged steed to the Temple in Jerusalem. There, he was welcomed triumphantly by all the former scriptural big shots. They were waiting for him, assembled in a solemn conclave of prophet solidarity.

Victory for Truth and Free Speech Over Islamic Supremacism
Human Events 30 September 2011
By Pamela Geller

A years-long battle is over, and Islamic supremacism has suffered a stunning and well-deserved defeat in its ongoing war against free speech and those who dare to tell the truth about Islam. Omar Tarazi, a lawyer linked to the Hamas front group the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), has dismissed his frivolous, harassing $10 million libel lawsuit against me with prejudice, which means that it cannot be refiled.
This case was about much more than just Tarazi’s false charge that I libeled him. His dismissal of the case is a huge victory for the First Amendment, truth and the anti-Sharia movement in this country, which is exposing an insidious cancer that brings progressives and Islamic supremacists together in the common cause of attacking anyone who criticizes Islamic supremacism with the threat of lawsuits, actual lawsuits, or even worse, violence.
The Systematic Destruction of Our Democratic State
Gates of Vienna 16 September 2011
Kirsten Heisig was a German juvenile court judge who believed in decisive action and significant sentences for youthful offenders (including "youths”), in order to interrupt their criminal careers at an early age. She disappeared a year ago, and when her body was eventually found, her death was ruled a "suicide”.
Not long after that, Thilo Sarrazin caused controversy by criticizing immigration, especially Muslim immigration, in his best-selling book Germany Abolishes Itself.

The witch-hunt against Thilo Sarazzin
Vladtepesblog 3 August 2011

The truth ‘provokes’, Sarazzin’s facts are "divisive”, his positions are "intolerant and racist”, that everybody knows, although no one read the book. The far left drecks-media and the political elite croak in unison, but Sarazzin is being heard around the world. Leftist apparatchiks like Merkel & Sarkozy will soon be gone, but Sarazzin’s book, ‘Deutschland schafft sich ab’, (Germany does away with itself) and the problem with Islam remains.
The Multi-Layered Betrayal of Britain
Gates of Vienna 12 July 2011
By Paul Weston

In his latest guest-essay, the English author Paul Weston takes a clear-eyed look at the grim reality of Modern Multicultural Britain. Although his analysis is far from optimistic, he does remind us that everything in the UK is on the verge of counter-revolutionary change. There is no choice — the change has to come.
The Multi-Layered Betrayal of Britain
by Paul Weston
Paul WestonPoor old Britain is in a terrible state. Whilst the recent obscenity of a Labour government is mostly to blame for this, they were not alone in the cultural and racial war which has been waged against the British people over the last half-century. Such has been the all-encompassing assault on who we once were that it is now hard to find any social group which has not been betrayed.

Fjordman: The Flaws of Edward Said's Orientalism
Jihad Watch 29 June 2011
By Fjordman
Note: This essay overlaps to some extent with my previous one, Edward Said and the Myth of Eurocentrism.
Orientalism by Edward W. Said (1935-2003), a Palestinian-American academic and political activist, was first published in 1978. It quickly became a very popular work among the left-wing intelligentsia in the Western world. It has been translated into many languages and republished in several editions. Over 30 years later it is still referred to with respect in many Multicultural and anti-European circles, which largely amounts to the same thing. In it, Said claims to examine Western scholarship of the “Orient,” specifically Arab and Islamic culture. There is very little about European attitudes towards China, Japan, Thailand or Vietnam there.

In his book Orientalism from 1978, Edward Said slammed what he considered to be the “racist ethnocentrism” of Europeans. Said argued that Western stereotypes of the “Orient” and Asia date back to ancient Greece. The only problem with Said’s claim is that it is utterly false, as is the entire basic premise of his book.

Probably all nations in the world are “ethnocentric” to some degree. This is not a specifically “European” quality; it is a human one. If anything, Europeans have not infrequently proved to be less ethnocentric than many other cultures.

The book entitled ‘The Terrorist Next Door: How The Government Is Deceiving You About The Islamist Threat’ has a chapter about Britain called ‘Londinistan: A Cautionary Tale’ (Chapter 6). In that chapter Mr Stakelbeck has some very complimentary things to say about the English Defence League.

Below is the second part of a two-part video about the German journalist Udo Ulfkotte and his new book, No Black, No Red, No Gold (Part 1 is here). Dr. Ulfkotte, like Thilo Sarrazin, has dared to confront the politically correct establishment in Germany and demand an accounting for the monetary cost and cultural damage imposed on his country by the mass importation of millions of inassimilable Muslim immigrants.
