On Tuesday, after protests by students, faculty and outside groups, Brandeis University revoked its invitation to Ayaan Hirsi Ali to receive an honorary degree at its commencement ceremonies in May. The protesters accused Ms. Hirsi Ali, an advocate for the rights of women and girls, of being "Islamophobic." Here is an abridged version of the remarks she planned to deliver.
One of the talks I gave this week in San Diego was at a wonderful Hispanic church that loves Israel. It was such an uplifting experience, truly a miracle. I was made to understand that these Israel-loving churches number in the hundreds up and down California and Mexico, too.

The Prime Minister has ordered an inquiry into the Muslim Brotherhood's "philosophy and activities", with information being gathered by both MI5 and MI6. Speaking at a No 10 news conference, he said that the Government was committed to encouraging people away from the path of extremism.
